Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your VLVT account and request removal of your personal data.
⚠ Important: Account Deletion is Permanent
Once your account is deleted:
- Your profile will be immediately removed from discovery
- All your matches and messages will be deleted
- Your photos and profile information will be erased
- Any active subscription will continue until the end of the billing period, but you won't be able to use premium features
- This action cannot be undone
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the VLVT app:
Open VLVT
Launch the app and make sure you're logged in
Go to Profile
Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen
Open Settings
Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
Delete Account
Scroll down and tap "Delete Account," then confirm your decision
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you can't access the app or prefer to request deletion by email, send a request to:
Please include:
- The email address associated with your account
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Confirmation that you understand this action is permanent
Option 3: Submit Deletion Request Form
Fill out the form below to request account and data deletion:
What Data Will Be Deleted?
The following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account information (email, authentication data)
- Profile information (name, age, bio, interests)
- All photos you uploaded
- All matches and conversations
- Location data
- App usage history
- Device information
Data that may be retained:
- Reports you made about other users (for safety purposes, anonymized)
- Transaction records (required for legal/tax purposes, up to 7 years)
- Data required to comply with legal obligations
Processing Time
- In-app deletion: Immediate (profile removed within minutes)
- Email/Form requests: Processed within 7 business days
- Complete data erasure: Up to 30 days from request
- Backup removal: Up to 90 days (backups are automatically overwritten)
Cancel Your Subscription First
If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it. To avoid future charges:
- iOS: Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > VLVT > Cancel
- Android: Go to Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > VLVT > Cancel
